Bonjour all
Wow this weather is amazing, our neighbor Tony yesterday mentioned he can't remember it being this hot. We've had our fair share of cold weather, so we'll take this any day. I'm talking no sheets at all at night, too hot to be outside around midday and that's in the shade, low humidity, and hardly a cloud in the sky. And everything is still so green. Swimming everyday now and teaching Sophie how to swim. Heaven on earth is what comes to mind!
Here I am in the office slogging away...
As promised below are some favourite photos taken over the last couple of weeks... Here is Jane about two weeks ago at Sophie's kindy end of year party. We helped out beforehand, me with setting up the tent, and Jane with the food, drinks and the kids games. Jane really enjoyed helping out which also involved a planning meeting a few days before hand. Her French takes a big leap in that type of situation as she knows roughly what they are talking about.
Here is Jane and another lady running one of the kids games.., Sophie and Connor kind of took over this game
Here is Sophie mingling with some of the French kids. I don't think it is that easy, but she tries that's for sure, we're so proud of her... she said a couple of days ago that she misses school and she wants to go back.
Connor has a thing for live music, I'm sure of it, chip off the old block maybe? Here he is enjoying this one man band at the party..
Jane took this of our new friend Denis and I later in the evening. They have two kids roughly the same age as ours and live just up the road, we are catching up with them tomorrow so the kids can have a run around..
Jane's birthday was on the 29th, so we headed down to Albi, had lunch on the way, and drove along the Tour De France route in order to pick our spot. Here's us at lunch, where we indulged in some foie gras, very yummy..
I wanted to take Jane to a nice café, and we found it in the heart of Albi. Would you believe it, they sold Byron Bay Cookies, we could not believe it. The café owner raved about them....here is Jane and kids at the café...
And here is the café owner and I behind his Byron Bay Cookie selection..
Here is a photo (I've played around with a bit) of the girls in front of Albi. It's a beautiful town about 2 hours south east of here. It was a big day with us arriving home at about 10pm, ..Jane enjoyed it which was the main thing.
Lunch time, so I'm heading in doors, more photos to come, bye for now...
